This oil painting depicts a picturesque coastal scene at night. A large moon dominates the sky, casting its light on the sea and the land. A tall lighthouse stands by the coast and its beam of light piercing the darkness. Also a small harbor can be seen. A row of houses with white walls lines the shore, giving a cozy and welcoming feel to the scene. I have used bold and vivid colors to convey the intensity of the moonlight and the reflections on the water. The brushstrokes are loose and expressive, adding texture and movement to the painting. Despite the night setting, the overall mood is serene and peaceful, inviting the viewer to contemplate the beauty of the surroundings. Oil, canvas. Signed. Varnished.
Painting has been my passion since childhood. Among many different techniques oil painting is my favorite.
Themes of my paintings are as variegated as our world: cities, people, life, animals, dramatic art, nature. I am greatly influenced by such famous artists like Claude Monet, Vincent van Gogh, Isaac Levitan, Auguste Renoir. My work was strongly influenced by Picasso. The painting Girl on the Ball made a big impression on me in my childhood.
