I spotted this lonely little tree out in the middle of a farm field along Highway 55, about 45 minutes south of Chicago, Illinois, United States. I thought it would make a great panorama art image. It's a simple beauty that is peaceful. Some say the drive from Chicago to St Louis is a boring drive. I think it's a beautiful opportunity to look at the countryside. This is a black and white version where I turned this photo into a digital painting, creating a mixed media piece of art.
