Piece description from the artist
Aren't palm trees quirky? Their skinny trunks hold up so many palm fronds going every which way. Some of them are quite perfectly manicured and some of them are clearly having a bad hair day.
Janet Bludau was recently awarded "Landscape Artist of the Year" in the annual ADC "Art Comes Alive" Juried, International Show.
Janet is a several-time award winning artist whose works can be found across the country as well as internationally. She often consults alongside designers, lending size, color and placement advice for her commissioned pieces.
Art has always been an important part of her life. As a child her favorite gift was a new box of crayons. Even though Janet has a business degree, her favorite class in college was Color Theory. Over 20 years ago she made Art her full time business and hasn't looked back.
Janet Bludau received a BS degree from Fullerton University with additional design studies at the College of Marin and UC Berkeley.
