Piece description from the artist
The beautiful Manhattan Bridge in New York city inspired this painting, created in the Pop Art style with acrylic on stretched canvas. Many thousands of commuters drive across the bridge every day from Downtown Brooklyn to Lower Manhattan, New York, or vice versa. This view re-created in the painting was from standing in Brooklyn and looking under the bridge toward Manhattan. The skyscrapers in the distance are dwarfed by the immensity of the bridge. Filled with lines, patterns, shapes and angles, the image of this urban landscape was a pleasure to capture in brilliant colors of red, orange greens and blues.
