This is a vertical format view of the old town of Alexandria given a very moody old-fashioned treatment that would look great on a wall. I think this one has some mystery about it with the old church tower one of the prominent features. I used a hand tint approach to alter the colors of parts of the image
Steve Heap has been a photographer for over 50 years now (which is frightening to think about!) but in that time he has developed an eye for what would make a striking piece of wall art. Photography is all about the light and his finest attribute is patience! Waiting for the conditions to be just right is the key to making a piece of art that you can be proud of. Of course, luck plays a part, but without that patience of being in the right place at the right time, it just becomes a snapshot.
