Hong Kong, among other things, is known for unusual sailboats with red sails. These boats are Aqua Luna – a famous tourist attraction, featuring traditional Chinese junk boats with vibrant red sails. These iconic sailboats offer panoramic cruises around Victoria Harbour, allowing passengers to enjoy stunning views of the cityscape. This work is dedicated to the Hong Kong morning landscape with a view of the famous sailboat and skyscrapers. Oil, canvas. Signed. Varnished.
Painting has been my passion since childhood. Among many different techniques oil painting is my favorite.
Themes of my paintings are as variegated as our world: cities, people, life, animals, dramatic art, nature. I am greatly influenced by such famous artists like Claude Monet, Vincent van Gogh, Isaac Levitan, Auguste Renoir. My work was strongly influenced by Picasso. The painting Girl on the Ball made a big impression on me in my childhood.
