Piece description from the artist
The Bridger Mountains, near Bozeman, Montana have always been the mountains I associate with home. They are home to wide open meadows that stay green all summer while snow remains in the high altitude peaks. The contrast of two seasons and the gorgeous evening skies in the Spring are truly a calming vista to behold. I love to take drives through these mountains, taking in the smell of fresh grass and listening to the cows as they settle down for the evening.
Annie was born and raised in Montana, growing up on her family's ranch in the beautiful Smith River Valley. Growing up in Montana's wild and beautiful Landscape led to her deep love of nature and all things rural. Annie attended the Art Institute of Colorado and lived in Denver Colorado until the completion of her Interior Design degree in 2002. After working in that field for several years, Annie moved back to Montana and began her own business, focusing on her ever-growing love of photography. She began traveling the backroads and wilderness of Montana and the Rocky Mountain region and selling her photos professionally in galleries, shops, and online. She primarily searches for rural Landscapes, old barns, abandoned farmhouses, and occasionally wildlife she encounters. Her work as been featured in HGTV, Better Homes and Gardens, and featured in three books on emerging artists of the United States. She currently lives in Billings, Montana, and takes several trips during the year to gather new images.
