"Mule Shoe Roundup" It's branding time at the Mule Shoe Ranch where all the neighbors got together to help the rancher brand new calves.. Neighbor helping neighbor is the "Cowboy Way." This scene was inspiration for a mural I was commissioned to paint in the cowboy town of Tatum, New Mexico.
Debra Wadlington paints in a style that reflects the realism of the cultures of the American West and Southwest. Debra’s life-long passion resonates throughout her art with every stroke of color, skillfully capturing the indelible spirit of the land, the people, and traditions.
Native to New Mexico, where she attended school and began her career in art, Debra’s academic achievements include degrees in Bachelor of Science in Art, Bachelor of Art in Secondary Education Certification, and a Masters in Elementary Education. She has taught at various grade levels in primary and secondary schools, in addition to college as an adjunct Professor of Art. Debra resides in Texas, where she continues to paint her passion.
