Oak Tree Canyon Grove B&W

Piece description from the artist

Located within walking distance and north of Historic Empire Ranch, this small canyon inside of the greater Las Cienegas National Conservation Area is a wonderful place to photograph what I call "Intimate Landscapes", this photo is one of my examples. There is always evidence here that large amount of water running through this area. Which is a blessing and a curse for so many of the trees in the area, cottonwoods, oaks, and others. When overgrown, cottonwoods "trim themselves" by shedding some of it heavier and long branches, too much water also ends up weakening the stable ground support so necessary for large trees. A wonderful place to see if you are in the area.
