Orange Fire

Piece description from the artist

The path that leads away from the Great Falls section of the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal towpath brings the walker to a part of the canal between two closed locks where the water is often still and creates a mirror for the gorgeous skies that often roll across the Potomac River. On this beautiful late autumn afternoon, the orange light of the sun makes the remaining leaves look to be on fire.
