Orbs through Time

Piece description from the artist

“Orbs through Time” is a composition of circles in various warm reds, yellows, and orange. I added a collage of handmade papers of different colors, sizes, and shapes to add depth and exciting textures. Then, I painted my circles with soft and hard edges and subtle or bold colors so that some circles fade out while others appear to come forward. I do this to create an illusion of depth to suggest the passage of time. Unique to this circle piece are the lines I dripped across the canvas to enhance the sense of three-dimensional space. The final application of colors is a soft parchment and Naples yellow combination, and I painted this color on all sides of the canvas. Like most of my abstracts paintings, one can hang this one horizontally or vertically.
