Piece description from the artist
These fish once sat by my sink and grew while I established my place in the world, well, town. I "graduated" from house-sitting in my rural community when given the chance to leave for a new life. These creatures were unable to come to the city with me so they were donated to a friend's Koi fish pond at whose house I'd sat at many times before.
