Piece description from the artist
My work is expressed in the form of flat paintings that reflect a language based on lines defined by multiple layers and color combinations. I have been working mainly in oil paintings for a long time, and I have been working in watercolors as well for the past five or six years. The reason I became more devoted to watercolors was that I could not go to the studio for a while and wasn't allowed to finish the oil paintings that I had been working on during the pandemic a few years ago, and that led me to the opportunity to focus on watercolors as a substitute. The unique experience of the paint on the brush colliding with the surface and being transmitted brings me a reverberation of sensation that rises sharply every time through any type of paint, but with watercolors, the properties of the material prevent them from forming a thick layer on the surface, so for me, it gives me time to focus more on each brushstroke left behind.
