Piece description from the artist
Desert Butte, Southern AZ, Pine cone is an ancient symbol for enlightenment. The desert impacts me deeply and profoundly, I find enlightenment in the solace I experience in nature.
Also, Conifers grow readily in high desert, such as the juniper, and in the past it was popular to plant pine trees that ended up huge, residentially. They grow stories high, and quite well in the desert, their roots are deep and find water even in the dry, harsh, arid, desert.
