Piece description from the artist
This gorgeous poppy demanded my attention. I placed it on my barbecue and rolled it to a place in my backyard to change the background lighting to a charcoal, deep black backdrop, giving the poppy a see-through, velvet texture. The result moved me and still does, and it continues to be one of my absolute favorite flower images.
