From time to time I return to one of my favorite subjects – impressionist landscapes. This time I painted a poppy field against the backdrop of a misty foggy valley. As usual, I used purple tones to make the canvas especially mysterious and positive at once. Oil, canvas. Varnished. Signed.
Painting has been my passion since childhood. Among many different techniques oil painting is my favorite.
Themes of my paintings are as variegated as our world: cities, people, life, animals, dramatic art, nature. I am greatly influenced by such famous artists like Claude Monet, Vincent van Gogh, Isaac Levitan, Auguste Renoir. My work was strongly influenced by Picasso. The painting Girl on the Ball made a big impression on me in my childhood.
