Piece description from the artist
Digital double exposure photography. Abandoned powerhouse in Portland, Oregon. 1 photo of building landscape, 1 photo of graffiti on building.
Paul Loverme was born in 1980. He was raised in the town of Casa Grande, Arizona where he spent most of his allowance on skateboards, trading cards, video games, and comic books. In his early teens, Paul's parents added a home computer to their household, which captured his interest and spare time. The advent of the Internet – and subsequently Adobe Photoshop – opened a whole new avenue for Paul to explore his artistic talents. An introductory class in black and white photography in high school resulted in a passion for photography and ultimately digital photography.
From the artist: "My images are true. I have no primary subject matter. Simplicity is my aim. Inspiration comes from everything. People, nature, animals, spirit, science, commercials and tablature. I have chosen to pursue a career as an artist simply to live my life doing what I love most. After all, if one truly enjoys their work, is it really work?”
