Prairie Fire is an abstract landscape painting of a prairie burning. Natural grasslands are managed by nature or by humans by burning accidental intentional and controlled. A very dramatic and beautiful fire with a purpose. Burning cleans out organic material opens up the light and makes seeds germinate.
Cynthia Fletcher is a painter, working in oil, acrylic, and digital media. Her style is abstract with jewel-tone color, texture, layering, and symbolism. Nature is her chief inspiration, and her work focuses on experiences there, using abstraction to go beyond form to capture and communicate light, color, and sensation.
Fletcher is also a Landscape Architect who has lived and worked in a variety of environments from Chicago to the rainforest of Panama. Her lakeside studio is located in Oklahoma City.
