Piece description from the artist
I love to play with depth of field and create images that push the boundaries of photography and offer a new way of seeing. In this scene, I was drawn in by the rich colors and how they played off each other. With a scene as vibrant and rich as this tulip bed, I prefer to create 'photo paintings' that draw your eye in and around the scene in a calm and serene way, instead of the eyes being overwhelmed with all the details. The intentional result is a soft and abstract image with a vibrant display of colors.
