Piece description from the artist
Here's a simple and unique mixed media photo featuring a branch of some red blooms from a Double Take Flowering Quince bush. This is a photo I took then turned into a painting. These flowers look a lot like a camellia. During the spring they bloom these beautiful double flowers. They are thornless and fruitless. Once they get established they are are drought-tolerant. Quince are in the Rosaceae family.
