The Ferris Wheel at National harbor outside Washington DC is colorfully lit at night and with a long exposure, I thought it would make for some interesting patterns in the water of the river. I wasn't disappointed! Some people think this looks like a snow angel as well – an interesting view of a famous landmark!
Steve Heap has been a photographer for over 50 years now (which is frightening to think about!) but in that time he has developed an eye for what would make a striking piece of wall art. Photography is all about the light and his finest attribute is patience! Waiting for the conditions to be just right is the key to making a piece of art that you can be proud of. Of course, luck plays a part, but without that patience of being in the right place at the right time, it just becomes a snapshot. He focuses on capturing images from around the world – timeless shots that reward the viewer with insights as they spend more time with them!
