The Reichstag building at River Spree in city of Berlin in Germany. Historic landmark originally built in 1894 to house the Imperial Diet (Reichstag) of the German Empire, the building has gone through several renovations and restorations over the years and is now home to the German Bundestag, the national parliament of the Federal Republic of Germany. The building features neoclassical facade and a modern glass dome added to the top in 1999. The dome is a major feature of the building, offering panoramic views of the city and symbolizing transparency in government.
