Reservoir Ruins

Piece description from the artist

Reservoir Ruins depicts the rocks and rubble remains of a village that was flooded in the 1960's to create a reservoir in North Yorkshire, England.
During coverage of England's drought in summer 2022, I created this image over the dry and empty reservoir basin of Thruscross Reservoir.
It made me think about how people's home and livelihood had been destroyed to enable others in the surrounding area access to drinking water yet with the effects of climate change the reservoir was not even capable of providing drinking water.

This is a TurningArt exclusive limited edition print available in editions of 100.
