Originally from Michigan, I spent many happy hours roaming through the Detroit Institute of Art (DIA) and marveling at masterpieces and developing a true love for art.

I eventually earned a B.A. in Communications and worked in marketing/communications for automotive suppliers in suburban Detroit.

Eventually, I moved west to rainy/quirky Portland, OR and lived there for several years during which I first picked up a paintbrush to record a particularly lovely watercolor sunset. It was awful; I was hooked.

My life journey took me to my current home in sunny Arizona where I love to try to capture some of the natural desert beauty and amazing sky shows we get.

After working to learn and hone my artistic skills, I now paint mostly in the abstract expressionist style and enjoy working with textured art. My media of choice is acrylics or water-based oils.
