Something Green Will Always Grow (detail)

Piece description from the artist

Walking along the pavement, I am always heartened by a sprig of green popping through a crack. I am reminded that matter how much ground we cover with human-made structures, mother nature is always there, ready to regain her position as the boss. I am thankful she is so strong and that our temporary marks on her are just that…. temporary. We are not separate from her. We can not control her for any real length of time, and she will remind us again and again.
