Besalú, Catalonia (Spain), is renowned for its picturesque medieval architecture, including its iconic 12th-century Romanesque bridge and well-preserved Jewish quarter. Its historical significance and charming atmosphere attract visitors from around the world. This painting is inspired by the spring landscape of this wonderful town. Oil, canvas. Signed. Varnished.
Painting has been my passion since childhood. Among many different techniques oil painting is my favorite.
Themes of my paintings are as variegated as our world: cities, people, life, animals, dramatic art, nature. I am greatly influenced by such famous artists like Claude Monet, Vincent van Gogh, Isaac Levitan, Auguste Renoir. My work was strongly influenced by Picasso. The painting Girl on the Ball made a big impression on me in my childhood.
