This piece is a simplistic, whimsical illustrated take on a tropical palm tree. I was inspired by the coast of North Carolina, specifically Wrightsville Beach, where I grew up. A lot of my work also draws inspiration from abstract and geometric shapes, which is where the wavy tree trunk comes from.
I created this piece with a digital acrylic brush to give it a textured, organic feel. It is a cheerful, beachy work of art with a flair of fun!
