Piece description from the artist
Interaction of water molecules on a subatomic level
Mick was born and raised in Oklahoma. He attended high school in Norman and graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 2011. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts with a focus on Sculpture and Painting, and a minor in Art History. He now lives and works in Boulder, Colorado.
Currently, Mick creates 2- and 3-dimensional works of art by re-purposing used climbing rope. His passion for a clean environment drives him to re-use and do his part by keeping these treasures out of the landfills.
The Boulder area is a mecca for rock climbing, so it only makes sense for Mick to have that disposal of climbing rope in his backyard.
