Piece description from the artist
I've always loved shadows on flower petals. In this scene, I was drawn into the repeating patterns of the shadow on the petals, the petals, and the rays of the sun shining through the clouds. There's always been something so peaceful about being in nature in the last light of the day. The world seems to quiet the activities of the day, and it's just you and the sunset in that moment, in harmony with the world around you.
