There's a childlike feeling that comes from being inundated with a field of sunflowers. They tower over you, and as far as the eye can see it's nothing but beautiful, vibrant sunflowers greeting you. A sense of joy bubbles up from being lost in a sea of sunflowers.
Penny Husted-Gamm is an award-winning photographer who specializes in landscape, macro, and NGO photography. She was born and raised in Pella, Iowa, and earned her bachelors degree from the University of Northern Iowa. She went on to earn her Masters in Counseling from the University of Texas at San Antonio.
Penny's work is inspired by her love of nature and the outdoors, and the peace and serenity she has always found in nature. She enjoys creating images that invite the viewer to experience the serenity of the moment, and to see something in a new way.
Penny has shown her work at art fairs aross the Midwest, Phoenix, and Los Angeles, including the prestigious Beverly Hills Affaire in the Gardens Art Fair. Penny’s work has been used by Anchor Wallace Publishers, One Hope Network, Phoenix Mesa Marriott Hotel, Western Theological Seminary, Food for the Hungry, Children of the Nations, TANF Ghana, and the popular Showtime series Weeds.
