Another addition to my art collection of famous cities. This time it is the Catalonian town of Girona. This medieval town is famous because of its beautiful buildings and many points of interest. Even the world famous series Game of Thrones was partially filmed in Girona, including the Cathedral of Santa Maria and the Arab Baths, which were used as filming locations for the show's sixth season. Girona's medieval architecture and historic streets provided a perfect backdrop for the series' fictional world of Westeros. Oil, canvas. Signed. Varnished.
Painting has been my passion since childhood. Among many different techniques oil painting is my favorite.
Themes of my paintings are as variegated as our world: cities, people, life, animals, dramatic art, nature. I am greatly influenced by such famous artists like Claude Monet, Vincent van Gogh, Isaac Levitan, Auguste Renoir. My work was strongly influenced by Picasso. The painting Girl on the Ball made a big impression on me in my childhood.
