Piece description from the artist
Winter storms are common up and down the eastern seaboard, but it is rare for snow to fall on the Ocean City, Maryland shoreline. But at the end of January in 2022, snow fell and the sunrise after the storm was filled with pinks. As we shivered on the beach, we watched the changing colors and soft pinks of a winter sunrise. The waves were still strong – reflecting the fierce weather that had come through the day before.
