Piece description from the artist
I saw this man as I walked in the quiet, shallow river; he seemed very tiny in the overwhelming arc of nature. The wind caught the tree branches and shuttled the leaves about in the wind as the man put his toe in the water, testing it before he walked into it. But it was a warm wind, welcoming him, and I set up my easel and captured both.
