The Blue Lake Huron

Piece description from the artist

Isn't this just breathtaking? The stunningly beautiful colors of Lake Huron at Mackinac Island make you feel like you're in a tropical paradise. IN the distance you can see a sailboat. Mackinac Island is an island covering 3.8 square miles in Michigan, United States. It is located in Lake Huron (which is part of the Great Lakes, at the eastern end of the Straits of Mackinac, between the state's Upper and Lower Peninsulas. It is a popular tourist attraction during the summer months. Much of the island has undergone extensive historical preservation and restoration. The entire island is listed as a National Historic Landmark. It's also home to the famous Victorian Grand Hotel. More than 80 percent of the island is preserved as Mackinac Island State Park. Mackinac has a ban against motor vehicles (except emergency vehicles). Residents and tourists get around by bike, walking and horses.
