Piece description from the artist
This is a rare self portrait in my series of emotionally charged coastal abstract artworks. Created in September 2024.
During one vacation in Miami Beach, at four years old, a rip tide pulled me under. Images of waves pulling me down, and the reflections coming through the surf had make a lasting impression. Those few desperate moments have stayed with me; burned into my brain through my entire life. This painting is what started my series of waterscapes, in and above water.
Available for sale Nov 1- Dec 2 The Alliance for the Arts, Ft. Myers, FL. Can be sold or leased after art exhibition, if it did not sell then.
I used saturated vibrant colors and powerful brush strokes, as I do in all my paintings, in order to create a lasting visual impression. I infuse my art, in the Daoist tradition, with positive intention behind the painting.
Nature is my Muse with the element of Water as my guide. I view the world with the lens of a shimmering prism- glowing with potentiality. The goal is to create art that connects; work which inspires, soothes and heals.
As a multifaceted artist; with a focus on painting, illustration, interior and textile design for more than two decades, l have cultivated an extensive list of devoted supporters. My work displays prominently in a wide variety of settings—from celebrity homes and corporate lobbies to commercial and hospitality sites internationally.
I have exhibited internationally from San Diego to Boston and London to Beijing. In 2008-2011 I was selected as the American Artist Representative for an exhibition in Baghdad, Iraq. My career has skyrocketed from there.
Notable exhibitions: Iraq Museum, Reykjavík Art Museum, Phi Foundation @ Musée d'art contemporain de Montréal, New York Hall of Science, Museum of Arts and Sciences Daytona, Art Basel Miami, Las Vegas Art & Frame, Highpoint Market, Swiss Art Expo, Affordable Art Fair Manhattan, Foosner Art Museum, Biennale Arte’ de Venezia, Art Basel Switzerland, Atlanta- Dallas- Shanghai and Beijing Gifts and Home Furnishings Market, and many others at the Florida state level.

In 2019 and 2020 I was offered the opportunity to participate in a Yoko Ono collaborative exhibition in Canada and Iceland.
