Piece description from the artist
The BU bridge crossing the Mass Pick and towards the BU campuses used to be right around the corner from where I lived and I passed it daily to and from my way to work and yoga. One morning I happened to note how the bridge framed the city into a few different pieces of art (if you will) and this inspired me to take a photo capturing that view. This was in all earnest, one of, if not the, first bridge-based photograph I took.
Gregorio was born and raised in Rome, Italy, and its from there that he attributes a lot of his passion for geometrical- and architectural-based photography. From humble beginnings with nothing more than a pin-hole camera made from a cardboard box, Gregorio has continued to push the boundaries of his black and white photography. His most recent works have centered around trains and nautical work, both of which were shown in galleries on Newbury Street in Boston, MA.
