This artwork is inspired by the brightness and beauty of stained glass windows. It combines soft shades of blue and green in simple lines and patterns, creating a strong and clear image.
The composition features a grid of squares with different shades of blue and green, giving a sense of movement and energy. The artwork was created applying my own technique, which uses toilet paper as a support. In its creation, I used acrylic paints, glue, toilet paper, and water.
Born in Caracas, Venezuela in 1968 and currently based in Barcelona, my educational background reflects my early passion for the arts and my continuous pursuit of knowledge.
I embarked on my artistic journey by studying drawing and painting in my hometown. Later, I honed my drawing skills further at the Art Students League of New York. Additionally, I pursued studies in History at the Central University of Venezuela, where I also began my career as a professor-researcher.
As a professor, I had the privilege of teaching enlightening courses on the History of Science and Theory of History. Through my work, I aimed to uncover new perspectives on the evolution of science and the significant role history plays in shaping our understanding of the world.
My artistic creations embody a fusion of interdisciplinary inspirations, drawing from the principles of kinetic art, op art, pop art, and the Bauhaus movement.
By exploring the interplay between color, shape, movement, light, texture, and human perception, I transcend the boundaries of artistic expression, crafting captivating sensory experiences for viewers. Rooted in my fascination with the dynamic and transient nature of existence, my artistic vision captures the essence of constant metamorphosis, the interplay of light and shadow, and the harmonious blending of diverse textures.
