Perched atop Gibbs Hill Lighthouse, the view of Bermuda unfolds like a captivating tapestry below. The waters of the Atlantic Ocean meet the coastline, while pastel-coloured houses and white roofs dot the landscape, nestled amidst the lush greenery. From this vantage point, the island's serene beauty stretches out almost endlessly as it curves majestically. I took this photo because I think it's beautiful that you can view such large parts of the island without being in a plane.
Esan Swan is a professional photographer, journalist and picture editor at the Financial Times in London. With deep roots in his community and heritage, his work seeks to represent the rich multicultural storytelling that inspired him in his youth and continues to do so now well into his career.
