The wonderful expression of nature on the coast. Photographed in La Jolla, California, USA. As the rock remains stable and strong amongst the turbulence of the water. This scene reminds me of a quote by Paramahansa Yogananda…"You must stand unshaken amidst the crash of breaking worlds." To be able to retain balance and calmness no matter what comes into one's life is a worthy goal.

Joseph wants to approach his photography from a place of simplicity and avoid making this enjoyable and creative process overburdened from a technical standpoint. He still continues working to improve his craft all the while though. His photographs are presented in a straightforward way and engage the creative process to produce photographs of familiar subjects in an impressionistic and abstract manner.
