Piece description from the artist
Aaahhh…springtime in Chicago, AKA Tulip City, as these beautiful flowers come out to play in full bloom from late April to May. But did you know that each fall, over 100,000 bulbs are brought from the Netherlands to Chicago? They are planted in October and November, with up to 1,000 bulbs filling each bed that are sprinkled across citywide. Then comes April, the tulips come alive!
