Twelfth Street Viaduct 2

Piece description from the artist

The 12th Street Viaduct leads from downtown Kansas City to the West Bottoms where the industrial heart of the city flourished in the late 1800s and early 1900s. It is a treat for photographers who crave a raw urban look with noir hints from the 1950s. Bridges, built in 1915, were ornate and rugged. This section goes over a rail yard that is still active.

About David Remley

Kansas City, MO

David Remley has loved every minute of his 36 years as a professional photographer. He is most proud of the vast variety of subjects he has been able to capture using styles such as black and white photography, macrophotography and color photography. He particularly enjoys self-assigned journeys with a particular camera-lens combination or a theme in mind. In addition to working in stills, David is also a videographer for both weddings and various businesses. The black and white works of John Sexton have greatly influenced David’s artistic point of view, while Annie Liebowitz’ commercial work continues to influence his eye for portraiture.
