twilight peak autumn 2

Piece description from the artist

Twilight Peak stands high amongst the giant peaks north of Durango, Colorado in the San Juan Range of the Rocky Mountains. I have passed this peak dozens of times en route to mountainous destinations and adventures within the San Juan Range. As you breach Coal Bank Pass at almost 11,000 feet, Twilight Peak reveals itself around the bend. Most days I am traveling past this area in midday. On the evening this shot was created, I managed to sneak up to the Pass in the evening. I was rewarded with an intense alpenglow juxtaposed on the golden autumn aspen leaves. A memorable evening!
