Piece description from the artist
In 1995, Dr. Charles Vacanti implanted an ear-shaped cartilage under the skin of the back of mouse. The "earmouse" was created to test whether it would be possible to grow complex tissues for transplantation. Here he is with his friends from the future: the nosemouse and mustachemouse!
The original piece is framed.
