Piece description from the artist
Black and white medium format photography of the female form, light, shadow, volume, and drapery.
While the need to make sense of everything is paramount to his day-to-day life, Elliot tries to release this tendency in his work. Any given image is the physical manifestation of one step in a process with no expected completion date.
Much of Elliot's work comes from the lessons learned and experiences he has had in his life. They focus on an idea or message he wants to express. It can be pain, anger, vulnerability, or many other things across the spectrum of emotion. The work is never done. While a particular piece may be printed, matted and framed, it’s not complete. You finish it.
