Piece description from the artist
This second version of the metal photos taken in Station Landing in Medford is much brighter and is glowing in the middle, intended to evoke the oasis effect that nature can have in an urban setting. Hear the steel grommets become leg droplets of water. These pieces would fit in well in an antique decorative scheme or in a modern one. That’s what I had in mind when making them, it’s sort of Restoration Hardware flavor that blends the two qualities.
Somerville / Greater Boston artist, designer and musician. Specializes in modern conceptual photography, especially colorful hi tech botanicals and art deco & geometric influenced abstracted & painterly photography.
