Piece description from the artist
Night time view of the West Bottoms with the Kansas City skyline in the background. West Bottoms was developed in the 1800's as a warehouse and stockyards district; now being converted to residences and office space.
David Remley has loved every minute of his 36 years as a professional photographer. He is most proud of the vast variety of subjects he has been able to capture using styles such as black and white photography, macrophotography and color photography. He particularly enjoys self-assigned journeys with a particular camera-lens combination or a theme in mind. In addition to working in stills, David is also a videographer for both weddings and various businesses. The black and white works of John Sexton have greatly influenced David’s artistic point of view, while Annie Liebowitz’ commercial work continues to influence his eye for portraiture.
