Piece description from the artist
I don’t think still life should be still.
In my floral paintings, I push the intensity of color to attract the eye and to capture the way light bounces. Brushstrokes create energy and compositions create the illusion of the painting living beyond the edges of the canvas.
So lean in…and see all the colors in white.
Linda Rosso is a painter who loves color, light and observing the world close-up. A transplanted New Yorker who fell in love with a Californian and the atmosphere of the Golden State, she uses a vibrant color palette to create luminous landscapes and still life oil paintings.
Her original work is in private collections across the United States. In 2013, she was awarded the Chalk Hill Residency, and spent several weeks painting the landscape in Healdsburg, California.
