David Shingler

David Shingler graduated from the Cleveland Institute of Art in 2007. He finished first in his class and was chosen to receive the highly prized first "Agnes Gund":http://www.huffingtonpost.com/agnes-gund traveling scholarship for international travel. David has exhibited work in Cleveland, Cincinnati, Michigan, New Jersey and Colorado.

David paints diverse subject matter including landscapes, cityscapes and figurative works. Through his painting he aims to express the feeling of actually being in the atmosphere. His process includes spontaneous but simple brushwork as well as the use of vibrant color to capture bright clean light.
