Abundance was painted with the idea of a new day dawning and all the endless possibilities on the horizon. Fields of plenty and new meadows to discover. Dawn is an invigorating metaphor for humans to see the world fresh again, new and awake.
April is heavily influenced by the classical impressionists but strives to bring about elements of expressionism as well into her paintings. She uses color fearlessly and is always striving to "capture the light". April wants her paintings to invoke the feelings of her subjects and especially the wild feelings of being out of doors surrounded by the beauty of nature.
