Anima of the Quarry

Piece description from the artist

Anima of the Quarry was created during a residency at the Manship Artist Residency and Studios in the summer of 2023. The property is surrounded by two quarries which Browne paddleboarded and swam in daily. She also spent a lot of time sensing the energy of the place and considering the belief that objects, creatures and places have a distinct spiritual essence, which inspired the concept of this work.
